We went to Jumièges on Monday on the banks of the Seine. This is a major fruit growing area and the fruit trees have suddenly burst into bloom. There are hectares of apple orchards but also cherry & pear. The cherry blossom is almost over. The orchards around us should follow by next week.

Spring is here almost
We are waiting for the fruit orchards to blossom. The first should be in Jumièges by the Seine. Our pear tree is in blossom. Here is a fore runner - a painting of crab apple blossom. Oil on linen.
vertige
I have been working on this painting since before Christmas. I have been trying to combine multiple viewpoints to express the precipitous barrier between the sea and the land.

The celebration of dance part II
A party dancer. I could not resist making these images after watching a truly exuberant dancer dancer at a party . These are oil paintings on 100cm x 800cm canvasses.
Celebration of Dance 2011 At Atelier 2
The first Exhibition of 2011 will be based around a series of dance images. These are deeply rooted in a true love of dance and these paintings are based on The Tango. Like many dances there are strong elements of passion and eroticism.
